The mission of the Brighton Writing Lab is to guide at-risk high school students down a path to a high school diploma and beyond. We tutor high school sophomores and juniors in their History and English classes, particularly focusing on the expository essay. In the spring semester, volunteers also help prepare students for the MCAS – the Massachusetts high school exit exam – a crucial step toward graduation.
Brighton Writing Lab is a year-round program, running every Friday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Brighton High School.
